Late nineteenth-century historical text on the Huguenot emigration from a France in religious strife to the eastern coast of North America between the middle 16th and middle 18th centuries. According to the author, Volume 1 of this 2-volume text only concerns Huguenot history as it relates to New England. Volume 2 concerns "the Middle and Southern provinces or States - in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware - and in Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina."
