Thesis on late twentieth-century New England Franco American literature and some of its creators - John Dufresne, Dorianne Laux, Steven Riel, Denis Ledoux, Susann Pelletier, Bill Tremblay, David Rivard - couched in a culture-specific analysis of historical identity and psychological debt. Close-readings of their work informed by writings of psychoanalysts Jacques Lacan and Julia Kristeva.
